My name is Jeff Parker.  I was introduced to fly fishing at an early age by my father and grandfather.  I pursued that introduction and today I am a professional fly fishing guide.  My career began with a passion for fishing and a statement that “I am going to find a way to get paid to go fishing.”  My father’s only comment was “Good Luck!”.  That wish of luck and a devotion to perfection has driven me in my career.

In 1991 I established J.F. Parker Fly Fishing, and began a guide service in the Boulder Mountains of Southern Utah.  I specialized on small streams, lakes and ponds in the area.  On any given day I was the driver, tour director and fishing guide.  It was great experience and drove me to learn the art to an even greater degree.

Since the Boulder Mountain area is frozen solid in the winter, I soon realized that I had to find a new winter fishing ground.  Lee’s Ferry was a natural.  Focusing on the tail water below Glen Canyon Dam I guided this water for seven years.  In 2000 I became a licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captain.  This was an important step in the growth of my career.

I spent 11 years guiding in the Bristol bay area of Alaska (2002-20012). Focusing primarily on the immense rainbows of the region. Also guided for char, grayling and salmon.

In 2006 I moved to Northern California to guide for Steelhead on the Trinity river. I also guide on the lower Sacramento river and area streams for trout. I currently spend my winters( Oct-April) in California.

Starting 2013 I will be guiding in Montana on the Missouri river. I will be based out of Craig Montana.
